The company announced on 19 March that its wholly- owned subsidiary, Genting ER II LLC, has entered into a subscription agreement to subscribe for up to US$20 million in “Series L Preferred Stock” in Empire in order to boost the latter’s equity due to challenges arising from the COVID-19 pandemic. Empire operates Resorts World Catskills and harness horseracing facility Monticello Raceway in the state of New York.
