According to a report by The Khmer Times , the draft law, containing 12 Chapters and 97 Articles, secured 114 of a possible 117 votes during a session of the 6th National Assembly legislature. It will now be passed onto the senate for further review before being signed into law by the King of Cambodia. “This law is aimed at ensuringmanagement of the integrated commercial gambling centers and commercial gambling contribute towards boosting economic growth, promoting the tourism sector, creating more jobs, collecting revenue, and maintaining social safety and security,” said Chairman of the Commission on Economy, Finance, Banking and Audit, Cheam Yeap. Among the regulatory controls set to come under the new law are the implementation of clearly designated gambling zones within Cambodia, tax rate of 4% on VIP GGR and 7% on mass market GGR, plus enhanced anti-money laundering and terror financing controls. カンボジア の国民議会が、商業ギャンブル管理に関する待 望の法案を承認した。国内のカジノ業界をより適切に規制 することが狙い。 クメール・タイムズの報道によると、12の章と97の条項 を含む同法案は、今週行われた第6回国民議会の中で117 の票のうちの114票を確保した。今後国会で審議を行なっ てからカンボジア国王による法案への署名が行われる。 国民議会の経済・財政・銀行・監査委員会のチーム・イ ープ(Cheam Yeap)委員長は、「この法律は、経済成長の 加速に貢献するために統合型商業ギャンブルセンターの 管理と商業ギャンブルの管理を保証し、観光セクターを促 進し、さらに多くの雇用を生み出し、収益を集め、そして社 会の安全・安心を維持することを目指している」と述べた。 商業ギャンブル管理に関する新法の中に入ることにな る規制上の管理には、カジノ営業の確立を目指すあらゆ る事業への最低投資要件の設定、カンボジア国内で明確 に指定されたギャンブルゾーン、VIP GGRに4%、マスマー ケットGGRに7%の税率の導入および反資金洗浄対策お よびテロ資金供与管理の強化などがある。
