IAG JAPAN MAY 2019 140 G2E ASIA 2019 SOLUTIONS SHOWCASE Simtech developed a unique patented flexible P2 tile especially for this project to create a seamless underside wrap, causing the whole display to be pure LED. The manufacturing of this display consisted of Simtech sourcing and renting a new factory for a three-month period. This was due to the fact that there was simply not enough space in their usual production factories to accommodate a display of such a size. To compliment this immense display, Simtech designed and manufactured eight square column wraps to circle it. These column wraps stand 2.88 meters tall and 1.4 meters wide. Not only are they the tallest column wraps that Simtech has ever developed, but also the highest resolution using Simtech’s P2 tiles. On top of the manufacturing side, the Simtech art team worked closely with Solaire to create the content for the grand opening of the gaming stadium and it wasn’t as simple as just plugging in a USB. Simtech technicians had to spend weeks enabling the stadium to talk to the surrounding column wraps for a timely and well-presented grand opening. The content itself had to be hugely scaled, while still presenting high quality content to complement the P2 pixels. Additionally, the content had to be inclusive of the unique underside wrap, by carefully crafting animations to show the effectiveness that it will have on the display. Solaire Resort & Casino’s vision of being at the forefront of Philippine gaming has resulted in one of its most innovative products which no other property in the world has dared to create. The enthusiasm of Solaire, Alphastreet and Simtech in working together caused this project to be as enjoyable as it was highly challenging. Simtech will look forward to working closely again in the future with these enterprises to continue developing innovative displays that are like no other in the world.
